Have you noticed how expensive clothes are now?

I don't have a bad income but recently everything from Council Tax to pension contributions has increased a lot. Browsing the shops for some summer clothes now and I'm thinking there have been massive price rises since last year. I used to buy Whistles and jigsaw, they are unaffordable now. I splashed out on some Mohedra clogs ( the green ones, they are lovely) and two T shirts at Toast last week, and that was £179! I used to buy two or three pairs of sandals each year but I think the old ones are going to have to last a bit longer. Has anyone else noticed that the things they like to buy are now unaffordable?

Posted too soon.I just wanted to say that some companies have a higher mark even though they probably pay the same wage.I just hope working conditions are humane and child labour is not used.

Ok finally adding re bamboo towels.
They hold a LOT of water. They take all day to dry on the line. Cannot go in dryer so the label says and these are umm not quite big enough for me, but OH thinks they are fabulous.
Otoh
They are thicker than my recently bought Christy towels (sale price but still, Christy! ) they feel like silk. 2 washes in now. You can just tell they are quality and they will last years.
I feel like I should write a blog about them. 👍
If I remember I will update when they inevitably go in the dryer as everything in this house eventually does. Hope it doesn't kill them.

Treefloof inhave bamboo towels. I love them, had them years and yes they have always been chucked straight in the dryer no issue. I can’t abide line dried towels, they are all scratchy.

Thanks Bodicea, good to know. I wont panic when I find them in the dryer.
