Hair straightener brush for dd?

I was sadly born without a sense of style or fashion.
Dd9 loves everything that shines and draws page upon page of dress designs that she then tries to make.

She has taken a fancy to a hair straightening brush she spotted one day and being partial to a crew cut myself, I haven't the faintest idea what I should be looking for.

First question: is 9 way too young? She fairly sensible but still 9. She has a travel hairdryer which is pretty low power, is there any such thing as a low power strightener? Her hair is fairly thin and wispy so it wouldn't need much to straighten it out, it's more to make it glossy and smooth out a few kinks than anything.

Any advice?

I didn’t think it’s a bad idea. You can pick them up for cheap enough - I don’t have one but when I used a friends I noticed that it didn’t seem to be as hot or as fiddly as straighteners it also didn’t make my hair as poker straight as straighteners meaning it wouldn’t look too grown up or overly styled on a 9 year old.
