A thin blanket for travel

I am looking for a blanket that I can sleep under in a hot hotel room, when the only bedding provided is a duvet. Or to add extra warmth in cold weather or horrible air conditioning. I am short so it doesn't need to be that big.
It needs to pack fairly small, as I usually travel by train.
Preferably natural fibres and not too pricey...

The Audrey Kate wraps are 200x90cm, would that work? The silk/cashmere blend ones are very light but the cashmere are quite cosy: www.audreykate.co.uk/product-page/100-cashmere-wrap-crimson

I’d second a cashmere wrap. I take mine most places when travelling. If going somewhere very hot a large pashmina is useful.

And this chap hand-weaves wool, wool/silk or wool/cotton blend travel blankets. I can't find the actual product - the throw I think? justwooltextiles.co.uk/shop?olsPage=products
He will make any item to your own spec (colour, weight etc) and his prices are very reasonable considering he does more or less everything except grow and spin the wool.

Pound shop?

hugoagogo · 28/03/2019 07:37

The pashmina type thing looks ok and I like that it doesn't have tassels, how small does it cold down?

What about a Turkish hammam towel? I got one that was pretty cheap fro Amazon. It was about £12 I think and it's very light.

hugoagogo · 28/03/2019 18:56

Frickin tassels, how I hate them.
Not sure about those towels, I can't imagine they are big enough. Thanks for trying though.Smile
I think I need to go to a real shop a feel the things really.

Yy large pashmina or silk/cotton mix scarf. Look carefully at what it’s made of as there’s a big range out there.
