Horrendous split ends... help! (Pics)

Since the end of December the ends of my hair have started splitting. I had my hair cut at the end of January which didn't help much and my hair is getting continuously worse. I'm terrified of getting it cut again as, to cut all the split ends off, I'll be left with an incredibly short bob, which I'm worried will carry on splitting. I straighten my hair (and use a lot of heat defence) to tame it, but brushing it causes so much of the ends to break off. I'm just so worried that I'm going to end up with all my hair falling out. Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this? 😭

You could try a good cut and olaplex treatment. It’s made a massive difference to my hair over time. Also I switched to pureology shampoo and conditioner which seems to have strengthened my hair. Hope you can find a solution Smile

I've just had this cut, could you bear it?

Echoing lots of others - I fried and dried my hair beyond repair with years of straightening too. Only thing to do was cut it off I'm afraid. I went for as short as bob as I was happy to go, embraced my wavy/curly hair and stopped using any heat. I don't ever use a brush either, only a wide toothed comb and use a cotton tshirt rather than a towel to wrap hair after a shower or bath - air dry only after that!

Unfortunately as much as a miracle GHDs seem at first, they utterly destroy your hair if you're trying to force your hair to be something it's not.

You really need k-pak reconstructing shampoo and conditioner, they also do treatments. It is more expensive but it works wonders and it will really sort your hair out. Also just give it a break, stop using heat for a while and have regular trims. I done this for my wedding my hair was awful before, lots of breakage from bleach, bald patches from extensions it was awful but just giving it some TLC for a while really helped
