Can anyone recommend a beautiful lightweight dressing gown?

I want to buy someone a lovely lightweight dressing gown as a present (ie cotton, not fleecy or woolly). Toast used to have some beautiful ones and that was my plan but they're pretty crap this season.

Any recommendations of places to try? It's for a birthday this Friday!

Thanks

One Hundred Stars have beautiful ones!

TheQueef · 27/03/2019 07:00

I bought a gown from one hundred stars it's gorgeous.

I've got a yukata, a cotton kimono. There are loads on Ebay and etsy. They aren't all expensive and they are very beautiful.

roundligament · 27/03/2019 07:11

These are beautiful for the summer
How wide are the sleeves on the kimono though?
I am looking for a light one as well for after I've had my baby

Fozzleyplum · 27/03/2019 07:12

I have a one hundred stars one, too. It's gorgeous.

happystory · 27/03/2019 07:13

Oh my gosh those One Hundred Stars ones are beautiful!

TheQueef · 27/03/2019 07:14

I got this one, I collect delft so I was thrilled when it arrived, the pattern is lovely.
It's very swishy and feels luxury.

I love them all

thedevilinablackdress · 27/03/2019 07:24

H&M have some gorgeous washed linen ones in their Home range. Very Toast.

Squickety · 27/03/2019 07:27

DH bought me the one with the map of Paris on it for Christmas. I feel Very Fancy when I wear it and do a lot of sort of dramatic swooshing about in it Grin

My husband bought me one from White Company which is lovely

Lunaballoon · 27/03/2019 07:32

The White Company. They can be pricey but I picked up a lovely one half price in one of their sales.

Cyberjammies have beautiful 100% cotton nightwear.

I bought a beautiful Spring-weight dressing gown in their sale - can’t wait for their weather to be warm enough to wear it!

MaryBoBary · 27/03/2019 08:07

Debenhams have some really nice ones and a sale at the moment so can get one for £15

Wow, I didn't expect so many responses so quickly, thanks! Definitely like some of the more colourful ones here.

Squickety I feel all Zsa Zsa Gabor I even brush my hair and swan about with my good China cup of tea. Grin

For those who've bought from One Hundred Stars, what's their sizing like? The website is rather vague...

TheQueef · 27/03/2019 09:14

Toast I got xl because my normal size is 16-18 at the moment I'm a 12 so it's ample. I would say the sizing is on the smaller side based on my gown.

Pinkarsedfly · 27/03/2019 09:17

I’ve got this one from Verry Kerry and it’s hands-down my favourite thing to wear.

I want them all.

roundligament · 27/03/2019 12:47

Oh wow that Very Kerry one is stunning

Might make it more acceptable to be in pyjamas until 4 pm 🥰🥰

mrsrhodgilbert · 27/03/2019 14:42

One Hundred Stars is all just one size. I have one of the map gowns, I’m size 14-16 and it fits well, would also be fine on someone smaller and maybe a little bigger.

Palominoo · 27/03/2019 15:27

I bought this not so long ago.

It's now on sale and is lovely
