What to pack in hand luggage for 1 week in Peru

No suitcase just a small rucksack - help!!!

I can't pack light ever but DH thought this would be ok as 4 of us as it works out affordable.

Walking shoes are a given but what else?

Guidance please gratefully appreciated.

What time of year are you going, and where in Peru?

Off next Weds land in Lima then head to Cusco and Machu Picchu then turn round and come back the following Weds

Layers, fleeces etc. DH went to Peru with smallish rucksack (was going to Amazon basin as well as towns etc) for 16 days and he took two fleece tops, several t shirts, two trousers and a hat (both warm and sun).

And a waterproof/wind proof jacket.
