am an April wedding guest - with nothing to wear!

Help! i am going to a wedding in the third week of April that for several reasons I am not enthusiastic about.

Still, I need to make an effort. will have an updo and makeup application but am struggling to find a suitable dress. This is a very traditional English wedding (starts early afternoon with Church ceremony and finishes at midnight after a disco) in a country house.
Men are wearing regular three-piece suits however, not morning suits.

I have a beigey snakeskin/animal/swirl print dress but i am not enthused about it. This will need new accessories - i.e. a fascinator.

Other options include a navy coast floral dress - for which i have have a navy fascinator so don't need to buy anything.

I tried several jumpsuits from John Lewis and Boohoo, all were a weird fit.

I am 5''1", apple leaning towards hourglass, and mostly a size 10 although my broadish shoulders often mean I end up in a 12.

Any suggestions very welcome

I like the second dress and it's a plus you already have accessories. Enjoy the table wine and have a dance.

The Coast dress is gorgeous

Expressedways · 26/03/2019 17:24

The second dress is lovely and you already have accessories so it’s perfect! I wouldn’t wear the animal print, I think it’s better suited to an evening only event.

2nd dress is lovely

Keepaddingpets · 26/03/2019 17:26

Definitely the second one - it's very smart and sounds ideal for the type of wedding. First one looks like you're going clubbing 😀

ApolloandDaphne · 26/03/2019 17:39

The second dress is perfect.

I'm with everyone else, the second dress is great.

Sorry - no style advice but the thought of a wedding ending at midnight is hilarious! In Ireland the wedding is just getting going by then!!

wonkylegs · 26/03/2019 20:09

Yep second dress

Yep but we English are stymied by licensing laws which usually only extend until midnight for these types of venues.

Try a Polish wedding - minimum three days Wine

2nd dress is absolutely fine and appropriate. First dress - not so much.

Thank you everyone! I will go with the navy one - you are all right, it's much more suitable and looks very "wedding guest" with the navy fascinator.

I would prefer plum accessories but I really don't feel like spending any more money on this wedding tbh.
