Hush harems - cheaper versions?

I really like the look of the Hush harems but at £55 they are a bit steep for me - are there any cheaper versions out there please?

Following.

And me

fairiesandelves · 25/03/2019 20:59

Me too.

reallybadidea · 25/03/2019 21:01

I really like the ones I got for a fiver on eBay. Maybe I just have cheap taste, but I like the slightly silky feel of them and they have kept their colour far more than my Hush ones.

Soontobe60 · 25/03/2019 21:16

I got some from Next a couple of years ago. My DH hates them! I, however, wear them whenever I can.

AndromedaPerseus · 25/03/2019 21:18

I like H&M ones come in a variety of colours/patterns and wash well

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 25/03/2019 21:22

ASOS do some. I've also bought the eBay ones too. Probably not as good quality as Hush, but complain for the price :-)

AnyFucker · 25/03/2019 21:23

They are worth every penny, IMO

I got mine in the Hush sale but love them so much I would pay full price

Pinkkahori · 25/03/2019 21:23

Next used to do lovely ones but the changed them a couple of years ago and i don't like them now. They are huge and the fabric isn't as nice.
I tried lots trying to replace my original Next ones and i haven't found any as good.
I have been trying cheaper ones but i wish I had saved and bought one good pair.
The fabric in Primark ones is cheap. Matalan are ok but I'd say size down one or even 2 sizes.

bingohandjob · 26/03/2019 05:44

can anyone share a link to the eBay ones, got a longish flight coming up and these could be perfect. Thanks!

Shazafied · 26/03/2019 05:48

Yes link to eBay ones please @reallybadidea !

reallybadidea · 26/03/2019 07:54

Here you go: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ladies-Alibaba-Trousers-Long-Harem-Baggy-Pants-Plain-and-Printed-Plus-Size-8-26/333086500713?hash=item4d8d80a769:m:m4lE3hCo0oehoWXIvktl4_g
I can't be certain they're the same ones I got, because I've had mine ages, but they look the same. They are much thinner than the Hush ones, but so comfy. You can't go too far wrong at £5 anyway!

PG2018 · 26/03/2019 08:10

@reallybadidea what is the sizing like, I am a 10-12?

reallybadidea · 26/03/2019 08:13

The waistband is very stretchy, so I reckon you could get away with either the 8/10 or the 10/12. Maybe depends how baggy you want them.

Shazafied · 26/03/2019 09:49

Thanks for the link ! Saw some in primark the other day, nice patterns . But at 8m preggers and with a 1yo in tow it wasn’t the time to try anything on !

Elllllle · 26/03/2019 10:13

Harems trousers had completely disappeared this summer over here (whereas they were massive last summer). I don't know if I'd spend a huge amount on something like that .... (especially as they arent very flattering on most)

FrontRowSeat · 26/03/2019 10:37

My Hush ones arrived yesterday - they are lovely but I did feel slightly sick at the price. It’s the fitted cuff at the ankle that persuaded me to keep them. I still fancy the N and Willow one’s at £25 but the £5 postage puts me off!

BarbieJellyBabyBrain · 26/03/2019 10:39

Oooh, funnily enough I was going to start a thread on this as I had seen the ebay ones and was wondering if they were any good!

Last year I bought the 'marmite' ebay harem jumpsuit thingy after seeing it on here. In fact I ended up buying 5 of them because I loved them!

Ladygloss · 26/03/2019 10:40

I've ordered the eBay ones thanks for that. Even if I only wear them at home for £5 it's fine.

I agree I think culottes and wide leg cropped trousers are more in fashion now

GlossyTaco · 26/03/2019 10:47

I'll be watching this thread as I tried the £20 ASOS ones and they were flimsy and bagged at the knee within a few paces. Not worth anywhere near the price.

glenthebattleostrich · 26/03/2019 10:49

I've ordered a couple of pairs from eBay so thank you.

No they aren't particularly flattering but they are very comfy for traveling and for around the house / weekend morning dog walks

BlueMerchant · 26/03/2019 10:51

I love the Next ones. Comfy and I find them quite flattering.

Ladygloss · 30/03/2019 12:15

My eBay ones arrived today. I love them ! Ordered two more pairs. Now to get some shorter tops to wear with them

TSSDNCOP · 30/03/2019 12:42

The Next ones are hideous. Straight back. Came under the heading Buy Shit Buy Twice.

ShivD · 30/03/2019 13:20

I waited years before getting Hush ones and I wish I had sooner. They are so much nicer than cheaper alternatives.

You can get someone on here to refer you as a friend OP and you’ll get £10 off which helps a bit.
