Comfy tights or smart leggings - help!

Right now I wear oversized cotton leggings under all my dresses. But they look quite baggy and scruffy. I thought tights might look smarter, although smart looking leggings would be OK too.

I'm ideally looking for something footless, with a wide waistband (have heard this described as yoga waistband?) and a waisband at hip or bellybutton height. Ideally not baggy around legs, but still roomy at the top.

Do tights like these exist? Am willing to spend a bit if necessary.

Not sure if they do footless ones but snag tights are the best/comfiest tights ever. They’re just as comfy as leggings and never fall down, I’ll never buy or wear a different brand now.

Snag tights are amazing! Honestly I used to wear leggings under everything and these have opened up a whole new wardrobe for me.

Just looked them up and snag don't do footless

Maybe a mix of comfy tights with feet and smart leggings is the way to go.

M&S do nice footless tight! About £10 a pair but good quality.

Primark do (or used to do? I buy all mine on Ebay) some thick black leggings which are pretty good. They are not cotton, they are synthetic (a bit like matte black sports leggings but not nearly so thick nor shiny) so don't go baggy or fade at the knees.
