Aloe plant worth it?

So. Fell over today. Snapped an aloe leaf and rubbed it and feels so much better.
Should I also smear over my face? Will I be 10 years younger?
Is this the answer to all physical problems?
(Disclaimer - I have nothing to to with MLM or that forever living shite. Literally shite)

Yes yes everyone needs an alan in their life.
(Yes i named my plant alan)
If i burned myself he was always there to rub himself on me.
Felt kinda like i was butchering for my own ends.
I grew him into a big strapping lad, and gifted him to my mother as a present as she struggles with houseplants and alan was bombproof. Id had him 2 years.
She had him 2 weeks and sadly alan passed.
I like to think he died of a broken heart (not flooded roots)
RIP alan

They are great to have around for any minor burns or sunburn. The effect is almost miraculous.

LadyGAgain · 27/03/2019 18:09

RIP Alan.
Yes my burn is doing brilliantly! I just wondered whether I would look 10 years younger if I smothered my Alan all over my face?

I think you need to give Alan a lick OP Shock

Oldraver · 27/03/2019 19:38

Imacliche...DS's aloe is also called Alan

LadyGAgain · 27/03/2019 20:14

I always wanted to call our (fictitious) dog Alan. But now the aloe is Alan.

Alan lives on.
You beautiful people for keeping the memory alive!
Alan loved to be eaten. To be honest Alan was a bit sadistic not gonna lie.
Kept expecting to come home to him wearing a ballgag .
I used to squeeze a little bit in my moisturiser. Makes your skin feel lovely.

LadyGAgain · 28/03/2019 23:20

Tell me more @Imacliche . I want to keep Alan's legacy alive via my skin. Will he make me younger?

My aloe vera plant is called Charles. He was rescued from an Ikea battery farm and is now a big beast of a thing. I don't think I could bring myself to amputate him in order to soothe my skin though.

I love aloe, I get mine sent from Curacao where they blend it with lavender oil. Use it on my face where it sorts out spots and acts as a natural exfoliant overnight, and always after sunbathing. Also on cuts, burns, rashes - anything TBH. I also eat aloe in tablets (from H&B, I know there's a big online aloe commission-only 'thing' but I'm not interested).

I may invest in a plant, I hadn't thought of that! Thanks!
