Can you help

I've been given 4 products as commented on a friends lovely complexion and she bought me them as a birthday gift.

I'm usually a Clarins YSL user but would like to give them a whirl.... and eventually save a fortune.

I'm mid 40's normal skin slightly dehydrated huge dark circles under eyes....

I'm the proud owner of

Glycolic Acid 7

Vitamin C suspension in silicone 30

Buffet peptide serum

And caffeine solution 5 for eyes

I have actually looked at 'regimen' guide but am now even more perplexed.

Any fans can tell me how to use these in layman's terms and in what order I'd be extremely grateful.

Huge thanks

I received 'Buffet' today and plan on using it first after cleansing. I also have the Hyaluronic Acid and Hylamide glow booster.

Glycolic Acid 7 - use at night after cleansing

Vitamin C suspension in silicone 30 - use at night after serum. Can be a bit 'tingly' so you can follow it up with a little moistuiser to dilute the sensation

Buffet peptide serum - use morning and night after cleansing (key product IMHO)

And caffeine solution 5 for eyes - use morning and night

The caveat to all the above is that they might not necessarily be the best set of TO products for your particular skin/skin issues. There are quite a few regimen guides out there, e.g. www.adorebeauty.com.au/the-ordinary/guide/the-ordinary-skincare-guide-what-product-is-right-for-me

Oops, pressed enter too soon! I have pretty good skin (especially for my age - late 40s) but want to hold back the ageing signs for as long as possible! I use:

Morning:
Argireline Solution 10% around my eyes and mouth
Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1%
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA#

Night:
Argireline Solution 10% around my eyes and mouth
Retinol 1% in Squalane
Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone

Aggghh, forgot to add in the Glycolic Acid 7 at night, before the other products. I also use AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week at night.

Fantastic thanks so much

Do you still use a day cream /night cream /eye cream etc on top of some of these serums etc??

I guess I'm used to a tub of cream and all these are liquids Grin

I did read something about layering but it lost me....

'Argireline Solution 10% around my eyes and mouth'

Sorrel

I've just started to get little vertical lines above my top lip would this help with that??

If you are using glycolic acid you need to use a good SPF in generous amounts during the day.

I would build in one product at a time and build up gradually.

Lumene

Thank you

I think that sounds a good idea.

I have a Dermolgica one I can add to creams etc or wear on its own.

It's quite strange going from a table full of Clarins products to all these which have rather severe sounding prescription names Shock

Have you seen any of Dr Dray’s you tube videos? She is a dermatologist who talks about active skincare ingredients and what does and doesn’t work in an accessible way. I learnt a lot from her and other similar professionals.

With products you need to know how they react or counter act with each other. So not using retinol and vit c together (so use vit c in the morning, retinol at night, i seem to remember), etc.

To apply multiple products, the rule of thumb is to use water based products first, the thinist layered through to thickest consistancy wise, then the oil based products. Giving each layer time to sink in.

SorrelForbes · 24/03/2019 13:27

OP I use the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA (this is a cream) as my last product but have often used whatever moisturiser I have to hand!

The Argireline Solution is meant to work on fine lines and at that price, I'd say it's worth a try.

I wear a high SPF factor foundation every day.

Thanks all

Really useful

I'm kicking off my new regimen next week so fingers crossed
