Hi All,

I've just purchased both these creams and I'm wondering whether I can use them both together or should use them alternately?

I've also bought Heliocare Gel, SPF 50.

TIA Smile

I've been using the indeed reface stuff for 6 months now, at night alternated with superdrug vitamin c booster serum every other night. I find i get less irritation like this (the reface every night made my skin feel a bit sore) I put them on freshly cleansed n dried skin, nothing on top but think you can use a moisturiser once sunk in properly. During the day i use Nivea uv face shine control spf 50. I leave it a good 5 minutes to sink in before doing my make up. Haven't tried the Heliocare one tho heard good things about. You really do need to use spf every day no matter what once you've started retinol use coz skin becomes photosensitive from it so burns/ages way easier. I also read somewhere that using a vitamin c cream/serum alongside retinol is very beneficial, makes the retinol work better. Not sure if it's true tho! Can say that after 6 months my skin def feels softer and looks brighter.

Thanks for that gummywitch, that gives me a better idea of how to use them.

I think the general rule is retinol at night, vitamin c in the morning. Both should go directly into skin after cleansing.

Oh no Kitty I'm doing it wrong then! I thought daily spf in cream form had to be applied to bare skin tho to be effective, hence me using the vit C at night.

I've just had a google and see that Facetheory.com are actually selling a retinol/vitamin c combo serum as one product. In two strengths, 2% or 3% retinol. Anyone tried it and know how this stuff compares to the Indeed Labs Reface? For when OP and i have used up!

CarpeVitam · 24/03/2019 00:15

Anyone else familiar with/using these creams?

@CarpeVitam if you're on Facebook join the Caroline Hirons skin freaks group, lots of really knowledgable people on there. (You can probably find lots of posts about it by just doing a search of the group)
I've just started using retinol and found the group useful and friendly.
Warning it is disastrous for your bank account!

I think theres also a long running skin care thread on here and a beauty hoarders one, might be worth asking on there.
I daren't look, I've spent too much already Grin

Thanks @GinandGingerBeer, I'm not on Facebook but will seek out the beauty hoarders thread on here Smile
