My husband left me a few weeks ago. I’ve dealt with it so badly and feel humiliated, ashamed and hideous. His OW is my age, slim

Sorry, posted with fat fingers. Anyway, I’m forced to see that I’m 38, 13 stone (which is 1.5 stone less than I was 3 weeks ago). I have shoulder length style-less hair, bitten nails, I dress like a student. I have enormous boobs. Where the hell do i start? I have no idea what suits me or indeed who I am

Start by being kind to yourself. You don’t need to beat yourself up emotionally, he’s done that enough.

Start by having your hair done. If nothing else you’ll feel better after a head massage. Take advice from the stylist on what would suit you, but be honest about how much (little) time/effort/skill you’re willing to throw at daily styling. (My hairdresser refused to cut mine short recently as she pointed out I’ve told her I hate having to style it every day and I’m not going to be prioritising that with a newborn around).

Then go to a personal stylist somewhere like John Lewis. Aim to leave with a new bra that works for your new shape and knowing what jeans make you look amazing. That’s it. Not a whole wardrobe. Just a bra and some jeans knowledge.

After you've had your hair done go and get some gel nails. Even if you don't intend to have them done again at least for a couple of weeks you will have fabulous looking hands in front of you. Go for a bright colour, maybe even a pillar box red.

Use any anger and hurt feelings to spur you on to exercise, even if it's just a power walk, you'll feel better outside with your arms swinging.

If your budget allows, buy a couple of feel good, smell good items such as a bubble bath or body lotion or new perfume.

You will have horrible thoughts for awhile but they will pass and the dent in your confidence will be gone.

Boob pride; be proud of those boobs.

Enjoy your new hair style and do something you have always wanted to do, that is possible for you to do but never got round to.

Your new life is just beginning, join a few things where you will meet new friends.

Good luck

Botox is amazing if you have a frown line between your eyebrows. Will make you look younger and happier I promise!

And (not sure if this applies) if you are overweight because you eat crap, stop telling yourself that you are 'treating yourself' when you have eg chips or cake or whatever. Change your thinking to what food is GOOD for you and then you will are eating eg blueberries or spinach is more treating yourself than junk food.

Ps yes be proud of your boobs. Mine are shrunk and I wish I had my old big ones back!

I had my colours done after a recommendation on here, not by cmb but privately.-

Firstly, most of us see the worst of ourselves so learn to be kinder to yourself. Convincing yourself there are faults with your looks will help no one. I create colours and capsule wardrobes for women and the difference it makes to their confidence is huge. It would be well worth seeking someone who can help you find a signature style. Hope it helps

...and pretty lingerie, not just for best but for everyday, so you feel goid about yourself when you get dressed each morning.

Perfume works best for me, do you like perfume?

Other than that, what they said ^^

Onwards and upwards 💐
