Which dress (If any) for a hen do?

I need help...
Which of these dresses (or none of them) for a hen do. I am a curvy (size 18) 40 something and don't want to look too frumpy next to the slim younger women who are also going.
It's in Chester, meal and nice bars.
Thank you

I love the shoes! Whats wrong with the shoes!!!Shock

coffeeandchoc · 20/03/2019 19:02

Redcrayons I wear flats at all possible times as I get so sore feet in heels and I'm a wuss, these are ones that my feet can cope with but definitely not for work!

Coffee aw that's a shame I was about to go buy dress 2 and 3 haha!
Ok I agree the shoes are maybe more worky, but I like them!

Out of interest, what shoes would others wear with these dresses?

Widowodiw · 20/03/2019 19:09

coffeeandchoc Why? You could easily wear a pencil style dress. Something like the below cross over at the top with the fabric pulled over the front into a sarong style. These are also made from stretchy fabric so are forgiving.

Two.

sue51 · 20/03/2019 19:18

2

pouraglasshalffull · 20/03/2019 19:21

Number 1. But I really don't like the shoes, they shorten your foot/leg area. Not having the buckle thing so low down would elongate your legs

coffeeandchoc · 21/03/2019 16:03

Are these shoes better?

Pinkyyy · 21/03/2019 21:35

Whereareyouspot · 21/03/2019 21:38

Yes to the new shoes!
You look v slim in that last photo- are you really an 18? You look fab.

MrsNacho · 21/03/2019 21:39

Dress 2 with the alternative shoes. Lovely!

Heratnumber7 · 21/03/2019 21:40
Black tights though. Not 40 denier!
Stormyday · 21/03/2019 21:40

Can you wear those shoes with no 3?

LambChopsMcGee · 21/03/2019 21:43

I came here to say I love the original shoes!

Girlinstripedpyjamas · 21/03/2019 21:45

Love the new shoes and your figure is fabulous.

Redcrayons · 21/03/2019 21:45

They're definitely party shoes.

BlueMerchant · 21/03/2019 21:54

Dress 2 and the new heels. Looks great!!!!
I also like hair up to show off the neckline.

whatdoyouwantfromme · 21/03/2019 21:57

Heartlake · 21/03/2019 22:08

Dress 2 and new shoes...nice!

bitofabelly · 21/03/2019 23:15

No 2 and second pair of shoes...they completely change the earlier slightly frumpy look...sorry...much much nicer and I would wear darker tights....where are these shoes from? You look great now!!

Elllllle · 22/03/2019 06:34

So you look really nice in that last pic. And the red shoes are great. But I would feel very overdressed at a meal/nice bars. I agree with whomever said you would look great in a leather (or fake leather) pencil skirt and silky blouse or top.

Bellabellabel · 22/03/2019 06:37

Number 2 and the new red shoes!

Fairylea · 22/03/2019 06:41

Yes yes to the new pic and new shoes. Very nice.
