Cracked cuticles. Manicure?

My cuticles tend to be cracked & uneven. Would a manicure make them miraculously nicer? What else should I ask to be done to my hands if I want a one-off manicure that ages ok... doesn't need lots of ongoing maintenance & repeat sessions to keep looking decent.

A standard manicure at a decent salon will sort the worst of it then you'll need to use cuticle oil and hand cream about twice a day until you notice an improvement then at least once a day to maintain.
Solar oil and opinions avoplex are both good but any cuticle oil used regularly is better than none.
