Microneedling for chickenpox scars?

Has anyone had microneedling and was it a positive result? I’m considering this to help with scars left from chickenpox but do not want to waste money if it isn’t going to help but I have been told it would help with scarring

Following! I’m also considering this for my orange peel chin xx

I’m due my third session in the next month.

I highly recommend the treatment , my skin has really benefited and is in great condition.

I do need a good 48 hours for the redness to totally subside, it’s absolutely not a quick ‘back to work that day’ treatment .

I know what you mean about orange peel chin @Pinkrach Sad I have a lot of acne scarring, but had no idea it would become so craggy looking as my skin ages. Hate it.

@SimoneStrasser can I ask how many you think you need before you start to see results? Is it a treatment you need to keep up? I wondered that as it does look quite painful/red afterwards. Thanks for the reply

@Haworthia, that’s exactly it. Tiny scars from previous acne have given me an awful skin texture the older I’ve got! I hate it! Xx

MorningSmile.

A course of three over 12 weeks is recommended and you do not need to keep up the treatments after that.

My skin was ok before but ageing (I’m 50) and the dermapen has worked brilliantly. I’m smoother, pigmentation marks have lessened and I’ve still one more session. I felt my skin looked better about 4 days after the first appointment as the skin repairs itself.

The subsequent redness is the downside and you can’t wear make up for 24 hours afterwards so planning is essential.

Mummy a friend had this done for facial scaring and it made a huge difference. There is lots of redness for a couple of days and she said that it felt as though her face was badly sun burnt. She had 4 treatments over 4 months and was very pleased with the results.

Ps it was done with a derma pen, not the roller things, the rollers can cause damage due to the angle of the needles. The pen goes straight in and out of the skin.

So I got one treatment of microneedling and chemical peel and it made no difference to my skin at all? Is it worth sticking with as I don’t want to waste money
