Which navy shirt dress?

Need a cotton midi navy dress for a holiday and also for summer. Both have side pockets and are from the same store.
The darker one is 25% cheaper and has a bit of linen in addition to the cotton.
The lighter one costs more and is 100% cotton. It isnts denim but looks it here. Might be a bit too thick for warm weather though?

Neither if you have boobs of any notable size

Thedarklady · 17/03/2019 19:58

34D?

The paler one looks better I think. Depends how hot it will be?

I think you need to be fairly tall to make either work.

Thedarklady · 17/03/2019 20:01

I'm not tall but I have really long legs.

I prefer the look of the paler one.

Thedarklady · 17/03/2019 20:07

Here's them both side by side. The darker one is on the left. The pure cotton one is on the right.

They're very matronly. Could you find something less harsh? I think it's the neckline that gives it that look.

ColeHawlins · 17/03/2019 20:10

The lighter one looks like a better cut.

Where are they from?

Thedarklady · 17/03/2019 20:10

It's to wear to a place of worship.

OP could wear the collar unbuttoned @Tomtontom , which would give it a v-neck look which would be softer and more forgiving.

Anerak · 17/03/2019 20:13

Both are a nice look but I prefer the pure cotton one. The sleeve length looks good and the fabric too. Completely disagree that it looks matronly.

HermioneWeasley · 17/03/2019 20:16

Both lovely. Marginally prefer the lighter one.

Not matronly and very versatile to dress up or down

hugoagogo · 17/03/2019 20:17

The lighter one looks a nicer shape, but really there isn't much in it.
Maybe get the cheaper one

sollyfromsurrey · 17/03/2019 20:20

The darker one with the long sleeves is very thin fabric. You can see through it completely (look at the hem)

Sheena99 · 17/03/2019 20:22

I like the lighter one.

BlueMerchant · 17/03/2019 20:25

Pure cotton on the right.

icklekid · 17/03/2019 20:36

I'd buy both to try. I think on they could look quite different

helpmum2003 · 17/03/2019 20:38

Yes definitely the lighter one. I think they're very fashionable not matronly. And will look great with your long legs.... Wish I could wear them ...

Thedarklady · 17/03/2019 20:51

I think I'll do that @icklekid

Definitely get both to try.

1frenchfoodie · 17/03/2019 21:20

They look lovely. Prefer the lighter one. Would be interested in y
our verdict after you try both.
