Will a 0-3 month size hat fit a newborn?

As the title says. I bought a "welcome to the world" hat for my baby's to wear as her first hat when she's born. It was mothercare so quite pricey and DH says I should have got 0-3 as it'll fit longer.

Shall I swap it? It's SOOOO cute so still want it to fit on Birth day! Xx

What time of year is she due?

0-3 months will be enormous on a newborn. They grow very quickly though.

Depends on the size of your newborn

BiscuitDrama · 17/03/2019 16:20

And actually, do you want her wearing it when she’s not so new to the world anyway?

spugzbunny · 17/03/2019 16:20

No, a 0-3 month hat will be massive on a newborn. They really are weirdly huge those hats. Plus they only really wear them for a few weeks then you stop bothering!

Thank you! Will stick with newborn size. I don't imagine she will wear it for long and yes as its welcome to the world it was more for her first little outfit rather than much after.
Hope it's not too hot, due August! It's a little white cotton hat so will just protect her head I guess. And look cute :-)
