Capsule Wardrobe

I'm soon to be returning to work after maternity leave and would like to take this opportunity to get rid of a lot of my older clothes, many of which do not fit, and start again with a streamlined capsule wardrobe.
I don't mind spending a bit more on quality items if they will last well, so I've been looking at
Hobbs, Whistles, Phase Eight etc.

Do any of you have a working capsule wardrobe? What is in it?

MidlifeChic did a sensible capsule wardrobe in January.

On the Spike likes a capsule as well and I entirely agree you just need one black dress for out out because no-one ever remembers what you wear to these events.
