Any such thing as a stylish cardigan?

Hi,
Got some great advice about post Caesarean section jeans earlier so thought I'd have another go!
I'm on maternity leave and need to get more casual clothes. I'm especially after some cardigans to keep warm while being breastfeeding friendly. Ideally I'd like them without buttons.
I'm hear that my favourite waterfall cardigans are a fashion faux pas... so what should I be looking for instead?

still looks like a giant vulva Grin

Well they're certainly divisive! Maybe I should ask for this to be moved to AIBU...

I like that @1Wanda1 but not at all sure about the rest of the model's outfit!!

I have a similar H&M one for work- the office temperature is really variable so I basically use it as a mobile blanket Grin
I was skint on mat leave and then through the years of nursery fees so bought most of my clothes from tkmaxx, H&M, next and fat face (in the sale). Also had very sicky babies so anything requiring hand wash didn’t see the light of day for pretty much 4 years (whereupon it was all full of moth holes but that’s another story Sad).

I doubt anyone is denying that a waterfall cardigan is practical, comfortable, warm, easily available, not too offensive, cheap......but the OP asked for a stylish cardigan.

I feel the request has been somewhat diluted....

I really like this one from Tu comes in three colour ways and much nicer in real life

I quite like this:

www.crewclothing.co.uk/mobile/womens/clothing/jumpers-and-cardigans/ashdown-cardigan-green-wkd007/

I don't know how stylish it is but I think with the sleeves pushed up and worn a bit oversized you could make it look a bit edgier than they have.

My favourites are Celtic and Co but they have buttons.

Superdry have very stylish cardigans, but very expensive too. Worth keeping an eye on the sale.

Also check vero moda, found many stylish cardigans there too, at least according to me.

Not a recommendation here but I just googled old film stars in cardigans

Cardigans are amazing!

I’m thinking of buying this in grey if the discount is right as it’s expensive. I like the way it sits on the blonde model with the pink top on underneath

PigeonofDoom · 19/03/2019 19:28

Now that is a nice cardi!

For the 50s ones, I spent my uni years in a blue Pringle cardi inherited from my gran that was very similar to the yellow one in the pics. Up their with my favourite cardis of all time.

If you google/ look for edge to edge cardigans they will be buttonless but not waterfall.

I too am a cardy fan, my fav style is ballet, or 1940s french country and 1950s styles. I am not so keen on very thick chunky ones. However my dsis rocks those, she looks absolutely lovely in long thick cardigans with a tie belt. I can not stand those Per Una ones with ruffles and froo froo as my grand papa called them.

Elllllle · 20/03/2019 09:04

@IrisApfelRocks that is so awkward yet wonderful! I want

PigeonofDoom · 20/03/2019 09:06

I work near a big uni and chunky boyfriend cardigans are very popular with the students right now. Worn with a white tshirt and high waisted jeans- it’s a very 90s look!

How about this?

whifflesqueak · 21/03/2019 09:18

Not sure if this is your style

It popped up in an ad and I thought of you op because it’s buttonless

RikoBitch · 22/03/2019 17:31

I have this and it's nice although a bit too warm
