The Ordinary - any recommendations?

It seems I'm about five years late catching on to 'The Ordinary' (I'm always behind the curve with these things!) Now I've heard of it, though, I'm seeing its name everywhere. I've had a look at their products online but I honestly don't know where to start. I don't have much of a skincare regime at the moment but would like to start one. I am pushing 40, have dry skin (perpetually dry, it drives me mad), the odd spot (though this isn't a big problem), and have a tendency towards redness with mild rosacea. Would products from 'The Ordinary' suit my skin? If so, what should I buy? If someone could suggest a regime I would be unbelievably grateful - I want to start looking after myself. Thanks in advance for any help!

They have a brilliant guide on their website to build up your own routine of products :)

Yes,have a look for a regime for your skin type on their website. You will need some guidance through their products and they are very helpful

The first thing to get right in any skincare regime though is cleansing. I would recommend double cleansing- it's one of the best things I've ever done for my skin

Ah ! Thank you. I wasn't aware of this. I will have a look. I would still love to hear if anyone has a particular favourite product though. Marketing material is all very well but it's nice to hear from people who have direct experience. For example, I have heard that the Azeliac Acid suspension is good for rosacea - has anyone had good results with this?

Email them with your concerns and they will give you a regimen

I emailed them and got a response within days.

I'm really happy with the products they recommended. I'm particularly delighted with buffet and squalane.

Ok, I am on their website now. The dehydration regimen looks as though it would work well for me. Anyone had good results following this?

Sounds like great customer service. I will email them. Still curious to hear from people here whether their products live up to the hype.

Sandy, I use their hyaluronic acid, retinol, 7% glycolic acid and sometimes their marula oil. I've also got the 30% acid peel recently - that's definitely one to work up to! I'm very happy with all the products and they are excellent value. You need to know what you're doing though so follow their advice

Thank you! That's very helpful Lotta.

I use the Ordinary Argan oil for my hair and also as a moisturiser. I love their Coverage Foundation.

Thanks Ella, I will check them out!
