Bought this for a wedding - what shoes?

I bought this for a late-April wedding I'm going to.

What kind of shoes should I wear with it? I can't wear high or thin heels. Flats would be ideal but I could wear a small chunky heel.

I'd ideally like to wear shoes I've already got (lots of dolly-type ones including a patent pair with a jewel cluster on the top, a pair of peep toe sling backs).

So what type of shoes would you recommend with this, please?

Ooh, I like those Mango ones (though they're a bit more than I wanted to spend).

The Primark ones are nice too.

I think the problem is that I hate all the styles that are around ATM. I have the strappy sandals with chunky heels because it's the same stuff I used to wear when I was about 9 and these things were in fashion the first time around Grin

And I hate that all trousers nowadays are wide-legged. If the legs on the jumpsuit were a bit narrower, it'd be fine with some flats I've already got but I feel like the wide-legged look needs something a bit chunky and dramatic.

You’d get loads of wear from the Mango ones, I’m struggling to think of anything you couldn’t wear them with, I love the heel.

MumUnderTheMoon · 18/03/2019 10:09

Why not take the money for shoes and have the legs of the jumpsuit narrowed then?

DirtyDennis · 18/03/2019 10:25

@MumUnderTheMoon I don't actually have that much money for shoes, which is why I quite wanted to wear a pair I've already got.

So I should qualify what I meant about the jumpsuit being wide-legged. I like the wide legs on the jumpsuit when I wear it with pumps or boots - it looks grungy and funky. It's just dressing it up a bit I'm struggling with because of the wide legs. If that makes sense.

It does, new look is doing 20% off at the minute if that helps also some of their boots are down to £10 you might get something with a bit of a heel.

I think with your pink hair the cream pumps would go really well.
If you have a bit craft bent I'd temporarily stick a pink bow on the pumps.

PorterBella · 18/03/2019 10:41

Or pink and mint green bows.

Alsohuman · 18/03/2019 10:51

Nooooooooo! Please don’t stick bows on anything.

DirtyDennis · 18/03/2019 11:04

@PorterBella Surely I can't wear pumps for a wedding? I've only ever been to a couple of British weddings before so not sure what the etiquette is in terms of smartness.

I would always wear something a bit dressier than pumps for a wedding. If push comes to shove the black sling backs you already have would look fine, just maybe not your ideal effect. Everyone will only be looking at your lovely jumpsuit and pink hair anyway.

PorterBella · 18/03/2019 18:49

Oh ok, I stand corrected but the picture in my mind's eye was a good one - in a funky pink hair way and needing to wear flats. Smile
