Lash lift?

GemmeFatale · 13/03/2019 14:15

I’m considering a lash lift and tint before my due date.

Has anyone had one?

Is it amazing or just ok?

Can I still use mascara or is that a no no?

Tell me all about it

I'm going to have the same, I like it because you can use mascara over the top bit there's no need to,

I have really straight eyelashes and find a lash lift really makes a big differance, far more so than just using eyelash curlers and mascara.

You can still use mascara over the top, and I usually do. I did once fall for the serum upsell but didn't find it made any differance, a clear mascara would give the same results. I can take or leave the tint as lashes are naturally dark but really notice when the lift has grown out.

Makes a big difference but I personally didn't like it. I felt like my eyes were after being taped open and really sensitive for the first week. Never did it again.

I've been considering getting either an eyelash/eyebrow tint or subtle extensions before my due date too.

Do you mean LVL?
It's a game changer for me. I have quite long but dead straight lashes and now they look like I've used curlers and mascara all the time.
The only down is that the tint doesn't last as long as regular tinting on me.
Plus, you can't get them wet for 48 hours after.

I used to get them on my poker straight lashes.

It looked great for a few days but then my lashes would start to go crinkly at the ends. It looked awful.

My results werent that great, i think you need fairly decent length lashes to begin with. My lashes grew through all over the place

RogueV · 14/03/2019 02:01

Mine went crinkly too

BatmansBoxers · 14/03/2019 05:36

I didn't find it did much for me. I prefer extensions.

Imacliche · 14/03/2019 14:52

If you use castor oil on your lashes every night it makes them look amazing. Mine are much thicker and longer than they were. They seriously fell out after lash extensions.

GiveThemUp · 14/03/2019 14:54

I've just had it done a second time and am going to make it a regular thing. You can put mascara on top to make them really pop but you don't need to.

I have a lash lift and tint every 4 months or so - not LVL lashes - just my eyelashes permed over a roller.

It's very quick and esay - yes your eyelashes get stuck back onto a roller and it feels a bit odd but doesn't hurt at all. Sometimes my eyes water a bit but thats it.

The curl is like you would get with a set of eyelash curlers. You are not supposed to wear anything on the lashes for a couple of days afterwards.

I can wear mine natural for dayttime and look like I have done my lashes - I do put a bit of mascara on for night out.

The tint and lift are great for holidays where you will be in the pool a lot and don't want the faff of mascara.
