Hi, I'm just looking for recommendations on how to look after the skin under your eyes!

I'm 43 and I've got fine lines appearing, the kind that make up settles into and looks worse!

What kind of creams can people recommend please?

Hi, I can't help I'm afraid but I've noticed the same problems I appear to have developed a thin line under each eye (I'm 37) in the last few weeks. I've always used moisturiser and the last few years olay type cream but I've never really used anything specific for my eyes and am gutted now.

Hoping my reply bumps your thread up @Happyinheels :-)

I’ve got an olay one that defo lifts for about 10 mins but I’m looking for one that lasts longer Grin

I’m in my 20s and have deep lines under my eyes —as well as bloody dark circles sigh—

I don’t think any topical cream can help tbh other than fillers ? 🤷‍♀️

^ strikethrough fail lol embarrassing
gosh MN why didn’t it work

Drogosnextwife · 13/03/2019 19:10

There was a thing I saw on the shopping chanels one day (couldn't find theremote Grin) it look amazing but I can't remember the name, I'll try and look it up. Might be rubbish though.

I'm looking for a shit-hot serum/cream/anything for round my eyes. Hopefully lurking!

DaisyChainsForever · 13/03/2019 19:35

Following Smile

Happyinheels · 14/03/2019 08:32

Ah still no answers for us eye ladies! Thank you for the bumps though Smile

Even just moisturisers or serums. I just do a cleanse, tone and general facial moisturiser.

I was just wondering if people use something different under their eyes.

This is an expensive recommendation but, it’s done wonders for me.

I bought a NuFace Mini. You don’t use it ON your eyes but I have found that gentle use around the cheek and eye socket area has smoothed that skin enormously. It’s a commitment but frankly, what it’s done for my face and neck, nothing but surgery could have achieved. Certainly NOT a cream. Creams are cosmetic emollients. They can make the skin look moisturised and temporarily better but, TEMPORARY is the key word.

Over the years I have tried many different creams/serums. I now use an inexpensive cream because the NuFace has dragged up and smoothed out my skin.

I’ve no connection to the Nu Face company. I’m just dead impressed!

Watching with interest.

Dark circles used to be my main concern but now it's weirdly dry skin under my eyes instead.

(fwiw I think dark circles reduce when you drink more coffee - bizarre but true)

NigellasGuest · 14/03/2019 11:38

I can't see how any cream could help dark circles sadly. I suppose it can smooth lines temporarily?
I've ordered a Paula's choice eye cream though, that comes recommended, will report back! My main weapon is coverage, I don't think creams really work. Must drink more coffee!!
Unfortunately under one eye I have a vein that shows through the relatively thin skin in that area, so that adds to the dark effect. No cream will sort that for me Sad

Delatron · 14/03/2019 11:53

A retinol eye serum/cream is your best bet. I take my retinol serum right under my eyes but my skin can take it!! Don’t get it in your eyes, ouch!
