Greasy hair and oily skin

Wondering if it's hormonal, I'm nearly 42 and recently notice my hair and skin is oily. I'm having to wash my hair everyday, my foundation no longer stays on my face. Apart from changing my pillow case everyday what else can I try. I've got the usual shampoos for greasy hair. So not to drip feed
I dye my hair
I have a dog that licks my head to wake me up
Night flushes, so not sleeping well
I only use water to wash my face but use liz Earl products.
I start my new job placement on Monday and want to look good , not like I've rubbed my Barnet in a chip pan

I too am a grease ball, 43 and high probability of hormone involvement. Things I do to keep it at bay are: use silicone free products on hair & makeup (avoid ingredients like dimethicone/ anything ending in 'cone' usually indicates silicone ime). After washing my hair and drying- spray the roots with dry shampoo, this really helps my hair to still look fresh at the end of the day. Ignore the nonsense to leave it and you'll need to wash it less, you have overactive oil producing glands in your scalp, they will still produce oil if you don't wash your hair. If you have a dry scalp this may result in your scalp tring to counteract the dryness with extra oil production, I tried head & shoulders for itchy scalp & it was quite good but my go to is head &a shoulders for greasy hair. Unfortunately some of us need to wash our hair everyday. Skin wise I use acnecide (available Otc) for blackheads on my t-zone and it not only helps rid the black heads- it seems to soak up the oil too. If I'm premenstrual and mega oily I'll put a layer of loose powder on before my foundation, this needs a lot of practice to prevent cakeiness though.

I'm 42 & got more oily skin so I wear Boots No7 Beautiful Skin spf15 moisturiser for normal to oily skin all over my face followed by Clinique Superprimer on my tzone.

I find those products leave my skin looking matte.

Clinique also do an oil free mattifying foundation but I just wear BB cream.

To get rid of shine later on in the day I use Clinique stay-matte sheer pressed powder oil free in 101 invisible matte.

Toni & Guy do a mens clarifying shampoo which is amazing for greasy hair.
