Curly hairstyle that's shaped?

Starting to think that my bra length curly hair is no longer doing me any favours - it's lovely and curly thanks to curly girl method but I think my 47 year old face needs something to lift it.
So I was thinking about this?

Does it just look good because Thandie is gorgeous?
Would it be very high maintenance?
I can't work out exactly what style it is - is it graduated longer to the front or shorter? It's kind of an uoside triangle though isn't it. Does anyone have a style like this?

No, but are you close enough to Central Birmingham that you could get to the curly hairdresser, Spring?

People travel from Ireland to get there its that good!

Thanks but I have Vicky Queen of Curls in Manchester who is wonderful too. So I know if I go to her with this photo she could do it - that's not the problem. It's more, is it nice? Would it be hard to manage in the mornings?

That’s what I’ve got - my naturally curly, thick hair (I also use CG method) was getting really long and shapeless. I wanted to go to Spring but ended up having it cut locally (I took pics with me of what I wanted). I’m really happy with it - not high maintenance at all. The curl is much better without all the extra hair weighing it down! And the front is loads better now it’s shorter and has a shape

Thanks Labracadabra good to know.

I have an inverted bob (CG method also) and so it's shorter to the nape at the back and longer at the front

What's the curly girl method?

I had curls when I was little, but as I've got older and straightened it, dyed it and had extensions in.. I no longer have any curls but would love to try get them back, if there is a miracle.. please let me know 😂😂

Google Curly Girl Method. It's all about no shampoo, no cones, no sulphates - just conditioner to shampoo and style with and no brushing. it really works - my hair had been frizzy waves and now it's smooth ringlets.
