Jeez, sorry for the ENORMOUS link^^! I’m on my phone.

I am wearing this to an event soon. I have the green colour and it looks quite nice on me I think.

It’s a fairly casual event, (BBQ abroad with old friends), but I’d like to look nice for it, so I need some accessories please.

I suit warm tones, so I was thinking maybe gold..?

If it matters, I am 35 and will be wrangling your children, but could manage a small - medium heel, as long as it’s not a stiletto. I’m strawberry blonde and pale.

I need shoes, probably a bag and maybe some nice costume jewellery..?

Wrangling YOUNG children, not your children Confused! Sorry, the children in question are mine.

I'm not sure it's a dress that will suit being dressed up for a daytime event. Although gold would work for an evening do.

My immediate thought was a tan belt and sandals (I presume it's somewhere warm?).

Belt:

Sandals - maybe these:

Maybe a cuff bracelet?

And/or perhaps a choker?

I'm stumped for a bag though!

Thanks!

I agree, it’s not going to suit dressy dressy... It’s a casual event, I just think it’s such a plain dress that it needs geeing up a bit.

It won’t be boiling hot I don’t think, but yes, definitely warmer than here.

Thanks for the links. I’ll take a look.

Love the belt, love the sandals, love be cuff! Thanks Flowers.

Chokers give me a fat neck unfortunately, so I think I need something a bit longer.

Oh good I am pleased.

I love the belt and sandals especially but I'm a bit of an Imelda Marcos for shoes and already have at least four pairs of tan sandals, ahem!

Maybe this for a necklace? Of course there a millions of necklaces out there to choose from!

Thanks again. I like that too. I’ve ordered them all for a little trying on session!

And I have no tanned sandals with a heel and those were low in stock in my size, so really pleased I’ve ordered. Will see me through summer.

Just noticed you've gone for the tan sandals, love those too and you'll get loads of wear from them throughout the summer

FuckertyBoo · 12/03/2019 14:15

Thanks pink. I’m not against buying a few things to try on, so thank you for the link! Will take a look later... when my toddler isn’t covered in soup 🤦‍♀️.

How exciting! No one ever takes my advice in real life. If it all works I'm definitely changing my career!

FuckertyBoo · 12/03/2019 15:15

Grin dontcallmecharlotte.

Those wedges are very pretty, but I think they’re a little too high for me - I’m tall, so they’d make me over 6’ tall and I probably couldn’t wear them for long without falling on my face! I also have fewer opportunities to wear something like that. I think the sandals will get worn a lot, assuming they fit etc.

Love all the suggestions. How did you get on?

If the sandals / belt / cuff / necklace combo suggested by DontCallMeCharlotte worked I think I'd go for a gold bag.

Something like this maybe? www.next.co.uk/style/st405987

I have one similar and it's lovely and because it's not too bling is very versatile and can dress up or down. I've used mine so much it's looking a bit tatty so I might get another!

FuckertyBoo · 16/03/2019 09:50

Hi!

So, the sandals arrived yesterday and I missed the delivery. They are at the post office now.

I have the jewellery and the belt and they look nice, but I haven’t tried them on with the dress yet.

Once I get the shoes I’ll try it all on and if it’s nice I might even post a pic on here.

Thanks for the link too; I’ll have a look at it later.
