Nails - how often?

I just found a nail place near my house and I really like it so am thinking about making a regular appointment but was wondering - how often do you go?

For gels or just normal polish? I have a lady that comes to my house to do Jessica Geleration and it lasts me 2.5 weeks.

Not too often my nails are very dry and in quite poor condition after manicures

Is anyone worried about cancer from the uv lamp used in the Shellac/ Gelish operation.
My niece gets them done every 3 weeks. I don't think that's recommended.

It's UV-A light which is actually quite safe a quick google search will tell you .

Every 3 -4 weeks so can be costly and time consuming.

I have Jesssica gel nails done every 3 weeks at a salon; the gel polish lasts, but by then they are growing out.
Also have gel toes done every other nail appointment, ie every six weeks.

3-4 weeks

Every 2 weeks here

Every three weeks for me. Otherwise they start to lift and mine grow quite quickly

2.5 weeks for me too

4-5 weeks for my gels any longer and they start to lift off.

I get gels every two weeks. They last longer but my nails grow fast so the regrowth is a bit much if I leave it much longer.

Every other Wednesday is my nail day.

Thanks so much - I just get a shape and polish as I had a bad shellac experience but will have to google gels as never heard of them
