Is there such a thing...

Hello ladies,

I'm desperate and looking for recommendations...

So I'm after either a swimming costume of tankini, I'm going on holiday in May with 2 other couples (very slim ladies!) and my toddler.
I'm a big size 16 with chunky thighs and bum and 34g can't manage without a bra bust!

Something supportive and flattering but not too frumpy- is that even a thing?!

I've looked at bravissimo and figleaves and they are really expensive so I wondered if anyone knows of anywhere else not as dear?
Thank you in advance xxx

Have a look here. 50s style swimwear tends to be more supportive and more flattering because of the cut.

eBay for bravissimo??

NC4Now · 11/03/2019 21:38

I’m a similar size to you and buy tankinis from Next. I’m not sure about the support - I’m a 34F and they are ok for me for just swimming and sunbathing - I wouldn’t want to run down the beach in one!

George at asda did lovely ones last year, I'm 16/18 and 34h. They were black on the bottom and pattern crossover bust, kept the girls in place round the waterpark 😂

M&S have all their secret slimming stuff which is lovely.

Deakinblue are amazing for our shape. I'll try and post a link

The most flattering thing I own bar none is my M&S secret support swimming costume, however I must say I am smaller of nork than you, but definitely worth a look.

Hi. Worth a look at bra stop. Proper branded dd plus swimming wear usually half price and good value and lots of flattering stuff and bra sized swim wear

As pp poster said 50s swimwear. You could have a glam costume ir a high waisted bikini.

Betty777 · 11/03/2019 22:38

you sound very similar in size and shape to me. I bought a very successful and flattering one from Boden last year.

If you stay away from the prints they don't all look frumpy. Will try to find link, as even if they don't still do it they will surely have similar

You ladies are fab!
I've not heard of half of these places and had no idea ASDA would go up to my size 😁

Thank you x
