Help! Foundation for 40 year old prone to spots

3pearsWarrior · 11/03/2019 14:19

I really need a good foundation that makes my sallow grey skin look fresh and radiant, while providing enough coverage for the spots I am prone too (hormonal). My skin is also dry around the forehead, nose areas.

I used to be a huge fan of Estée Lauder double wear but it just looks ageing on my skin now. I have tried No 7 Instant Radiance but it doesn't last five minutes and doesn't cover spots.

Any recommendations hugely appreciated.

IT Cosmetics CC cream. Great coverage and lasts all day.

Lancôme teint idole gives really good coverage and is non-comedogenic.

I've been using mineral makeup and zineryt lotion (on prescription) which has helped.

Bioderma sebium matte control (as primer/moisturiser) or the Lrp version, and then something like Smashbox studio skin, L'oreal pro matte (my every day foundtn), the Lancome teinte idole ultra mentioned above (as long as you dont have oxidation issues) or Urban Decay all nighter (although this is very heavy).

I should add that my skin is very similar although I alsp.have a red chin to cover!

Don't wear Mac if you are acne-prone
