Holiday prep

So I need help! Hoe do you prepare yourself for going on holiday? We are going abroad during the easter holidays and this is my 1st sun holiday in years! So apart from removing leg hair and a bikini line tidy up is there anything else you do to make sure you look good on holiday?

Shave my legs if I'll be wearing a skirt. Trim bikini moustaches if I'll be seimming.
That's it.
Wear my usual clothes, use my usual bag. Make sure my camera's SD card is empty. Take a separate wallet for foreign currency. Decant liquids into smaller bottles if only taking carry on luggage.
And I pack earplugs and eyemask in case I'm somewhere noisy or with ridiculously thin curtains! Weigh nothing.

Spray tan, nails, eye brows, and the hair removal you mention, oh and will have my hair done too.

I get my eyelashes tinted as I don’t like wearing any make up during the day.

Paint toes nails and make sure heels aren't cracked and dry.

Pedicure
Hair removal
Earplugs

I went abroad at half term for a week in the sun. For the first time ever I had a spray tan the day before. It was a revelation! I felt more confident in my swimsuit and didn't feel the need to burn myself in the quest to get a tan. I'm quite pale and freckly, and it can take me a good coup,e of weeks to get a nice colour usually.

Do one of those foot peeling masks two weeks before to get rid of horrible dry skin

Shellac on toes - do it once and you will have lovely holidays toes for the holiday

Hair removal - eyebrows, legs, bikini, the works. I don't want to think about it while I'm away!

Brazillian blow dry if your hair is longer than a bob. It will allow you to 'air dry' your hair at best, or drastically shorten drying at worst.

Pedicure & toe polish. I avoid gels as they are a pain to take off & bad for your nails, but each to their own, as they do last.

I agree a spray tan makes you less likely to 'go for the burn'!

Thank you! I am intrigued by a Brazilian blow dry. I have never heard of them.

Hi @FoddyWaddle

I've had 3 or 4 now, and I have also used the home treatments. They both work on the same principle which is to infuse keratin into your hair - it's usually painted on then dried and straightened a few times. You then leave it 72 hours to 'take' and the effects last 2-3 months.

For me, it's not about straightening my hair, but reducing frizz (especially if I'm going somewhere humid) and shortening or removing drying time. I don't let the hairdresser put it on the top inch or 2, or over straighten it at treatment stage, so I can still get 'bounce'. I think it's worth the price (about £100 at my Wella salon) but the kits are a lot less if you are confident or have a friend who can help, or are lazy like me! Take care with the kits as some contain nasty chemicals as well as the good stuff!
