I want to move on from Clarins, to something a bit cheaper.

I am 55, with good skin. Look younger.

Need a day moisturiser with SPF, a night cream & eye cream.

What do people like using? Bonus points for being eco-friendly.

Manuka Doctor is amazing! The api clear range is what I use. Currently buy 1 get 1 half price on Holland and Barrett. It uses bee venom in its ingredients.

I use the face scrub & moisturiser £16.99 each.

Murad is amazing. It’s not cheap but I got a good deal from Debenhams and can really tell the difference

Anyone know whether the brands now stocked in M&S are any good?

I like avene and la roche posay. I’ve also recently discovered a brand called Ceravé and I love it.

Very 'budget' but also really good... Aldi Q10 day cream and night cream are fantastic.
The day cream has spf 20 and hylauronic acid, and the night cream has retinol. You would be hard pushed to find skincare with those active ingredients for a better price. They're a step down from what you've been using, but it's the active ingredients that make the difference so it doesn't matter if you've paid £30 or £2 if they contain the right stuff.

Oskia. Love it - all natural ingredients apparently.

SorrelForbes · 09/03/2019 18:34

The Ordinary (by Deciem). Very reasonable prices.

grumiosmum · 09/03/2019 18:43

That Oskia looks lovely but is even pricier than my usual Clarins.

The Ordinary website is completely incomprehensible!!

Has anyone tried Trilogy?

cerave is great, recommended by dermatologists for sensitive skin. I love the day cream with SPF25, and the cleanser.

JRMisOdious · 09/03/2019 19:37

The Ordinary is brilliant. It’s so cheap that I was very sceptical but their 2% retinol is the best product I’ve ever used. I’m 55 and I look better than I have for 10 years (Grin) since I began using it about 4 months ago.

I use the Trilogy Rosapene night cream and really love it. On my third jar now and not looking for anything else which is unheard of for me.
