Lipstick, blusher & eyeshadow recommendation for winter colouring

Hello - I've recently been told that I'm winter colouring so was looking for some recommendations for blusher, lipsticks and eyeshadows for this. Thank you.

I'm a winter but was told so many years ago so might not be helpful.
Blushers on the mid pink range suit me.
Lipsticks that are pink, true red, not scarlet.
Eye shadows depending on your eye colour. Mine are Hazel so I wear browns, greens, greys.
Stay away from anything with a golden, yellow, orange tinge.

SorrelForbes · 07/03/2019 22:05

I'm a winter and have too much make up! Some of the stuff I wear that suits me includes:

Lips -
Clinique Chubby in Pudgy Peony
Chanel Rouge Allure in Passion
Estee Lauder in Red Ego

Blusher
Chanel blusher in Vibration

Eyeshadow
Urban Decay Naked Palette in Basic 2

I bought a limited edition Dior eye palette at Christmas which is very glittery and just gorgeous but I think it's gone now. If I was buying one of their current range, I'd go for this one for evenings.

I mostly use Clinique chubby stick in Super Strawberry, Lipstick Queen Saint Rose and MAC blusher in Pink Swoon. I’d like to try other blushers though so watching this with interest.

Mysterycat23 · 08/03/2019 04:57

So I'm at the budget end of the spectrum..

Avon Berry Bold lipstick.

Maybelline dupe of the Naked palette.

Poundland blusher, the pinker shade not the orangey one Grin

Thank you for these recommendations. I'll check them out.

I love chantecaille lip chic in Nocturne. It's quite expensive, but really makes my pale complexion and blue eyes sing.

Nightlights · 11/03/2019 06:58

@Tolleshunt How would you describe the colour? Just googled this but it looks quite dark?

Tolleshunt · 11/03/2019 09:01

It's a pinky red, it's actually quite vibrant, I wouldn't describe it as dark. It has a glossy texture, though I tend to blot it for daytime. They have it in SpaceNK, so you can try it on if you are near one.

Tolleshunt · 11/03/2019 09:04

Just had a quick look online and none of the pictures look exactly like it. I think it's one that just needs to be tried. I forgot to mention that it is very good for making teeth appear whiter, too.

Nightlights · 11/03/2019 09:42

@Tolleshunt okay great, thank you. I'm not near a spacenk but wondering whether to take the plunge on your recommendation - I like fuschia pinks, I have blue eyes and pale skin........

Tolleshunt · 11/03/2019 10:02

It's a red with a hint of pink/cool toned red, as opposed to a warm orangey red, iyswim. I would think it would suit you if fuchsia pink does, as they both suit me. The formula is really moisturising, though not especially long lasting.

Nightlights · 11/03/2019 10:10

It does look lovely!

Nightlights · 11/03/2019 11:57

@Tolleshunt I bought it! Grin

Tolleshunt · 11/03/2019 12:46

Ooh, I hope you love it!

mimiasovitch · 11/03/2019 21:37

The blusher I use is Mac Breath of plum

I prefer eyeshadows that are taupe/grey. I have a two faced pallette, Chocolate Bon Bon, which is very good. Also Nyx have a cool toned palette. I do tend to keep the eyes quite subtle.

Lips are where it's at for me. I wear Clinique chubby stick in grandest grape, L'Oréal cassis passion, urban decay Gash, Nars Vera and Bette, Nyx cherry skies, and others I can't think of off the top of head. These covers dark burgundy reds, through bright red to the pinker end of the spectrum. I bloody love lipstick Grin
