Am hoping to lose some weight soon and was looking around for sports bras to help me get active.

Am pretty skint and went for a look round the charity shops to kill some time.

Found these 2 pack sports bras, BNWT that are still on M&S website for £29.50 for just £4.99
In my size.

Am well chuffed.

Now I just need some bargain work out gear :)

What a lucky find! I love charity shops. I recently found a pair of Reiss trousers for £2!

SileneOliveira · 04/03/2019 14:16

Well done! Was it a well known charity shop starting with O?

If so, they regularly get M&S stock. (I used to be a volunteer). We'd often get undies - people open those multipacks of knickers, one goes missing and M&S can't sell a 5 pack of pants which only has 4 in it. So the charity shop gets it and we would price them at £2.99 for 4 pairs. Same with men's socks, swimwear etc.

Yes it was.

I don't usually go in there as compared to the other local independent charity shops I find it can be pricey but was a great bargain.

I rarely visit my local charity shops but this weekend was taking DB and SIL to our local library Singalong Session along with my DD4.5 and DH and DM. DB and SIL had impromptu stay over for the weekend.

Had got DNephew a gorgeous Tesco joggers/top set before but on Saturday for Sunday popped into the Cancer Research shop and picked up a barely worn Mini Boden Striped with monsters long sleeved top for £1 and a pair of Next jeans £1 - top was 18 months but fitted big (more like long, DNephew) perfectly.

I got a brand new PLUMO dress at the salvation army shop yesterday. It was 6 quid which I thought was fine for new. I love it! Had never heard of that brand though and looked it up. F*cking hell its expensive!

Depending where you live/work you can pick up good bargains.

a work colleague lived in Wimbledon and in the Village she picked up a lot of the Whistles buttoned/knit tops (approx. £99 at the time, about 10 years ago) and I often found good bargains in the Village as well as the Town - LK Bennett cream suede shoes, Boden almost new striped tops etc

Got a very nice Marks and Spencer red and black boucle jacket for £1 today!

I found a BNWT classic black crew neck jumper in a local hospice charity shop for £6 unfortunately the label was all in Chinese but it felt like wool so I took a punt on it as it fitted perfectly in a slouchy way. When I got home I googled the price (converted Chinese currency to £) and Chinese characters and it was cashmere and the original price was equivalent to £134

Got a brand new Joules tunic/dress for £15 yesterday at mencap. I wouldn't call it a fantastic bargain, but then I would have paid that on ebay for a new top, so it was still a good deal.
