Do eye creams actually do anything?

I've bought a few over the years but don't really see the point of them as I can't see a difference

Should I be using one, and if so what would you recommend that works?

Seems like a bit of a faff to put on!

The Decleor one makes me feel better! It feels cool and soothing. I think it keeps my crows feet at bay. It is probably habit as much as anything.

(Hard to tell right now as i've put so much weight on it's all full anyway!! )

I don't expect them to do anything except be a light moisturiser that doesn't irritate my eyes.
What are you thinking they will achieve?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/03/2019 19:28

I expect it moisturises, and have been told that eye creams are a lighter texture than a 'heavy' face cream, as using a day cream all over risks leaving deposits that eventually turn into a layer contributing to eye bags. Have no way of knowing if this is true unfortunately.

Not in my experience.

Yes, they melt or rub into my eyes and sting . Absolute no beauty benefits ime however!

I love a good eye cream, I'm not sure if they do anything as I've always used one. I expect that a sweep of skin oil at night in the eye area would be better but I'm no expert. My total favorite is the Estée Lauder advanced eye repair (small brown jar), but I've also got a mini tube of the Origins ginzing one which has a glowy finish which I love.
