Castings semi-permanent dye: how to get it to fade quickly

I put a castings semi permanent on my hair four weeks ago (no previous dye on it as had grown it out a while ago) as my hair needed a temp colour boost.

I picked it as it was semi, and it's slightly faded, but now I'm wanting to get rid of it.

Are there any tips to help get it off my hair? Vosene? Not using a colour b4 as I,'ve used them before and it left my hair a weird orange colour.

I want my natural greying hair back!

Use headband shoulders or fairy liquid

I put a semi colour on once and it was much darker than I wanted and it took its time washing out so I bought a sun in spray and lighted it gradually with a hair dryer until it was back to my natural colour. Probably not too good for your hair but I had short hair trimmed regularly so I knew it would be ok and it worked and wasn’t expensive.

Thanks both, no sun in but will try fairy liquid (or Aldi version!)

You can buy specific colour strippers in Superdrug etc never tried them so don't know if they work but can't be worse then using washing powder which I was advised to try once. Never dye bleached blonde hair black no matter how temporary the dye claims to be!!!!

Crush up about 20 Vit C tablets to a powder, mix with shampoo and leave on hair for an hour...it will shift loads but you'll need to really condition it after as quite drying.

I think the problem with greying hair is that it grabs pigment in hair dyes and even a semi can stain it.

YY to Vit C , I dyed my hair (Mahogany) it went purple and my greys picked up pink This was a Semi-Per

It didn't fade (even though red tones are famous for fading)

Vit C tablets crushed and mixed in some Superdrug anti dandruff shampoo. I left it 4 hours.

It didn't work straight away , I was quite Hmm but once I re-washed and dried my hair it was brown again.

I think I used 30 tablets crushed in a bag. I'd recommend a food processor if you have one , the powder was still a bit gritty .

My hair didn't suffer with being dry but I did condition well .
