I’m getting married in a few weeks.

About six weeks ago I had my hair coloured (first time in years). I am naturally a kind of dark mousy blonde and I asked to go blonder. However I hate it! It just doesn’t suit me at all and looks white in some lights and yellow in others. I want to go back to closer to my natural colour but I’m scared now as it’s so close to the wedding and I don’t know what to ask for when I go back next week (she was going to do a full head - only had half last time). I’m also embarrassed to admit I don’t like it Blush.

However I need to do something because my roots look awful. Is it possible to go back to my natural colour from this in one go? Please help Sad

Not helpful but I really like it and think it looks great.

You could try silver shampoo (Pro-Voke is a great brand, Boots sell it) to mellow the yellow tones, but if you don't like the whiter blonde that may not give you your desired outcome. I apply it as normal shampoo and leave it for 5 minutes before rinsing, it takes out yellow tones and brightens bleached blonde.

Clairol Nice and Easy No 8a Medium Ash Blonde is your friend.

Thanks @sausagepastapot, I think it’s just that it’s doesn’t suit me rather than being an awful colour! I thought about purple shampoo but it looks white in a lot of lights anyway 😩

@TantricTwist thanks for the recommendation 🙂

Don't put ash on that white blonde. It will go grey. Yes, you can go back to your natural colour in one go but it will probably need to pre-pigmenting with gold/orange tones first. Go to a salon.

Do people think a root stretch would work to blend out the root? Like this?

As in downstairs in my house, not the other downstairs Blush

Low-lights or a root stretch would both work to blend out the root. Low lights would add darker tones through the white blonde and break it up a bit.

I like it but agree it could be toned down but get a salon to do don't attempt it yourself at all as it could go badly wrong and may not be right before your wedding x
