Capsule smart-ish work clothes

I was offered a new job today, current job has involved wearing a uniform, now I have to wear my own clothes!

I sell cars, so I need to be comfy and able to move, I have a million pairs of grey wool trousers and a grey wool skirt, these would be a great start to my capsule ward.

I need tops, blouses, shirts, jumpers maybe, cardigans, etc, to look tidy and smart, I couldn't wear a blazer jacket, too restrictive.

Hit me with ideas, if you would, please.

I'm changing jobs because I'm not even minimum wage in my current one, £5k in debt and this one is so much better paid. It means I don't have tonnes of cash to spare at this time though.

I'm 5ft 3, size 14, pear shaped with fairly small boobs, and massive (i think) pregnant looking belly due to my ginormous baby bursting through my tummy muscles (4 years ago)

I wear shapewear most days to squash my belly in and stop strangers asking when I'm due.

Thanks in advance.

I would recommend booking yourself a personal shopper at John Lewis. It's free, no obligation to buy and you can take your own pieces in for them to work with. I've done it a few times and because I always tend to go for the "same-old same-old" it's great to get suggestions for items that I would never even 'see'.

Good luck with the new job

How about a jersey blazer? Lots of stretch in them so not restrictive
