Next sold me a worn item

I buy from Next a lot, particularly the clearance section. I get that a lot of the items there are returns and that's absolutely fine. I collected a blouse yesterday, opened the bag this morning only to be greeted with the unmistakable aroma of stale perfume and sweat, not horribly, but quite unmistakably. The blouse did not have its original tags and just had that worn once look; it wasn't nice, crisp and pressed. How rank is this?

I've had that happen too where someone had swapped the tags from an expensive item with a cheap one.

Next are usually ok though.

Although I don't order lots from Next online, I have had an account for years and had never had a problem with anything I have ordered.

I guess with next day delivery, the warehouse staff must be under immense pressure to fulfill orders so probably don't look too closely at labels.

In saying that, If I do click and collect, I always open packages in store and try on if I can, to save me having to go back to the store to return items

I ordered a cream blouse from Next in the sale recently. When I opened the package it honestly looked liked someone wiped the floor with it. There was a big black mark all down the front yet someone had folded it nicely and packaged it up.
I rang straight away and they said to return it. I got a refund but no offer of a gift card or anything.
It was disappointing because I liked the blouse but it was the last left in my size.
