I have being dyeing my hair since about 20 due to greys, still do it 20 years on.
I know nothing about hair dye so bare with me...
Been thinking about stopping colouring it but wondering if I can dye it silver so growing it out doesn't look horrific? Is that just mad? Is it even possible?!

Yes, you'd be probably be best going to a hairdresser to do this. You'd need to bleach your hair to white blonde first and tone to silver

Even if you dye it all silver you'll still get roots as your natural hair grows back through. Highlights is the best was way to camouflage and blend the growth together.

Yes wasn't going to attempt it myself!
Highlights, that's a good plan, thanks

I have blonde, caramel and light brown highlights every 7 weeks. It all blends but obviously comes at a price.

I went cold turkey! Luckily I have short hair and it only took a few months. It was definitely a talking point!

Ive dyed mine silver before but the upkeep can be a pain. Im half way to full grey atm but like justkeeprolling my hair is short.
