I would really like it if anyone on here could show me) put together a work outfit and a casual outfit.
I am a teacher - size 16-18. I have completely lost my way and am currently healthy eating back to a 12-14 after a terrible couple of years. I have no idea anymore. I'm a pear shape but have big boobs 36g.
I'm an hourglass when I lose weight! Does anyone want to help? Flowers

What age/subject do you teach? Any special requirements there?

What is your casual lifestyle like? (Pubs? Gardening? Outside watching sport? Etc etc).

Do you prefer trousers or dresses?

Who’s style do you like/admire/would want to emulate (don’t worry too much about their shape just tell us people you think look fabulous)

Ok I work in year 6... So primary school but don't need to get dirty or on the carpet. I wear dresses because I feel they flatter me more but love trousers on other people!
Not sure who I like as such but I like vintage styles without it being Lindy bop style dresses! Midi dresses, wraps, a- line skirts. Need sleeves really but I struggle to match shoes as I'm pretty poor in anything but a chunky heel and prefer flats. I have a nice pair or pink brogues but nothing to wear them with!

Oh my casual style is soft comfy fabrics. I like maxi dresses for summer as I don't like my legs...not very adventurous!
I don't do much....walk the dogs, go shopping etc

I love the h&m thick jersey dresses (with pockets!) for work.
I wear with tights or leggings (& boots)

This is a link to the black one but they also had other colours https://m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0550309001.html

What about this dress for work here. Looks like it would fit in the right places and has sleeves.

Do you like prints?

JamieFraserskiltspeaksout · 24/02/2019 07:34

I love both of those... I have brown knee length boots and black ankle boots.

I have loads of jersey or cropped jackets which smarten up dresses and tops and mean I can wear sleeveless dresses too. I’m 16/18, hourglass with big boobs, and I find shorter tailored jackets suit my shape best.

This is just an example, picture from Quiz (I tend to pick up mine from charity shops or Outfit).

I was looking for jackets like this yesterday at my local charity shop. Nothing in my size at the moment but glad I was along the right lines! Might have a quick look online for something good value for payday!

Evaharkness: can I ask what kind of trousers you wear for work? I just seem to look like a tank in all trousers as in so hippy! I feel so self conscious and as if everyone is staring

Ah, yes, I am the wrong person to ask about trousers really. Until recently I have been hiding in very wide leg or Palazzo pants (a bad idea as only 5ft2), but have recently slimmed down a little and moved to more fitted styles, cigarette pants or something as near to a skinny jean as I can get away with at work (black, with some stretch).

MumUnderTheMoon · 24/02/2019 17:56

You are I similar size to me. I'm 5ft4 I don't wear trousers I have a couple of great dresses from dunnes stores that are so comfortable and flattering I wear mine with dms but they're look great with brogues.

Very nice!!
So neither of you wear trousers either? I bought a pair of cropped cigarette trousers and am terrified of wearing them. I have a loose black cami and a longline black cardigan. Do they sound tragic?
