Try a chemical exfoliant to unclog the pores. The Ordinary do a good value salicyllic acid which works for me. It’ll get better Flowers

Badskinhelp · 23/02/2019 11:26

Thanks, i think ive given up, ive bought every product you can think of and nothing seems to help!

From the advice I've been given The Ordinary has very likely got an answer for you

thinkingcapon · 23/02/2019 12:18

May I ask what you use at the moment make up/skincare wise?

Badskinhelp · 23/02/2019 12:35

thinkingcapon i oil cleanse then hot cloth cleanse, i use the red peel once a week, but that leaves me feeling so dry, so thinking of stopping.
I use the garden of wisdom niacinamide in the morning then, a hydrating serum, then a moisturiser.
At night after cleansing i use garden of wisdom vitamin c then moisturiser.

Ok and make up wise?

Badskinhelp · 23/02/2019 13:19

Well ive tried every primer and foundation going, im using Boots CYO primer at the mo, really cheap and seems to be one of the better ones and a rimmel foundation, although the CYO foundation reviews seem to be ok too, so im thinking about giving that a try too

With make up on in this pic, as you can see it makes no difference, if anything looks worse with make up on

I think you likely won’t see a great deal of difference with topical products to be honest. Paula’s choice 2% BHA lotion might be a good option to clean out your pores. However, to see more noticeable results, perhaps something like microneedling? Helps with collagen production and skin rejuvenation xx

You should visit a dermatologist and not test random products in vain.

Badskinhelp · 23/02/2019 16:38

I habe been thinking about a dermatologist, how do i find out about them, where they are etc?

Go to your gp and they'll refer you x

Badskinhelp · 23/02/2019 17:54

Ok thanks, trying to get refered to anything through the gp is hard, but ill have a go!

How old are you OP? I know this does help, but your neck is really lovely and smooth!

fearfullotsofthetime · 23/02/2019 17:57

*doesn’t

TipseyTorvey · 23/02/2019 18:17

Just had a horrendous skin problem (nothing like yours OP) that I'd had for weeks. Luckily have private health via work so gp said he hadn't a clue and to just go private. She did a biopsy and gave me magic potion and it was fixed in days. I suspect it wasn't cheap though.... (too scared to ask how much!)

Badskinhelp · 23/02/2019 18:20

fearfullotsofthetime thanks, one positive then! Im 44.
Maybe i just have to put it down to aging skin and this is how it will be for me, just knocks my confidence thats all. Its all i think about when talking to people
