Sharpening Mac eyebrow pencil

Help! I cannot sharpen it. Is there a knack to it? Used an inch so far and the top keeps falling off. It’s too expensive to waste!

I stopped buying sharpenable pencils for this reason. Even good quality ones seem to break. I don't know what the knack is, so gave up and have bought twist-up ones ever since.

The only way I’ve managed it is to use a double sharpener and to use the “big” hole if that makes sense. And sharpen little and often.

I’m glad it isn’t just me. Got a double one so will try that. I’m so cross as all I wanted was a nice pointed end again to draw the hairs !

Oooh I misread. Mine isn’t an eyebrow pencil. Mine is an eyeliner pencil. But still a bitch to sharpen.

Put them in the freezer overnight and they’ll sharpen much easier without breaking.
