What's your day to day make up routine

Moominfan · 22/02/2019 20:08

I own one 10year old eye shadow pallet. I wear eyeliner most days but don't have my shit together enough to wear eye shadow everyday. Does anybody?

OP posts:
happymummy12345 · 23/02/2019 01:13

I never ever wear any makeup at all. So I don't have a routine

donajimena · 23/02/2019 01:18

Foundation to cover my vitilgo. Pencil in the expanse between my eyebrows and hairline (my eyebrows are invisible) topped off with a bit of lippy. Takes me 5 minutes.

mrsoutnumbered · 23/02/2019 07:05

I wear make up every day, even if I'm not going out.

Foundation
Concealer under eyes
Highlighter on cheekbones and under eyebrows
Blusher
Eyebrow pencil
Eyeshadow (a very light shade)
Mascara
Lipstick if I'm feeling adventurous

TheNumberfaker · 23/02/2019 07:16

Wash face in shower, dry face with towel, apply moisturiser.

princessbear80 · 23/02/2019 07:50

Blusher, brow gel, mascara. Most days lipstick, but not always. Thinking of adding a bb cream/tinted moisturiser.

I love how even those who only use a few essentials each day all choose a different selection of items.

feelingsinister · 23/02/2019 08:03

After skincare routine:
Primer
Foundation/illuminator mixed
Concealer under eyes and blemishes
Powder
Brow products
Eye shadow
curl lashes/ Mascara
Lip balm
Lipstick
Bronzer
Setting spray

Pretty much every day. I don't bother if I'm just going to the shop but most other times.

Hippopotas · 23/02/2019 08:45

Moisturiser
Primer
Bb cream
Loose powder
Blush
Highlight
Bit of highlighter as eyeshadow

That’s it.

notanothernam · 23/02/2019 09:08

Moisturiser
Concealer
Bareminerals original
BM illuminating veil
BM invisible bronzer
Whatever blusher I pick up
Urban Decay Naked 3 or Cherry eyes
Eye liner
Mascara
Eyebrow pencil
Lipstick (variety, MAC or M&S liquid matte lipstick atm)

Only started doing this in January, rarely wore make up daily prior, but after discovering Liz Earle to remove I've been much happier to apply. I don't generally tend to bother when not working unless going out for a meal etc.

TantricTwist · 23/02/2019 15:41

My routine at 6.30 am in the morning is very very swift.

Quick swipe with micellar water
serum / no moisturiser
Foundation
powder
bronzer, also used as eyeshadow
blush
Hourglass ambient lighting
lipstick
mascara - sometimes I miss this step as I wear glasses at work or I will apply at work.

Violetroselily · 23/02/2019 19:54

Primer
Foundation
Brow pencil
Concealer
Two eyeshadows
Liquid eyeliner
Mascara
Bronzer
Blusher
Highlighter
Pressed powder
Lipstick

Floralmoral · 23/02/2019 20:05

I wear make up most days. I wear:
Primer
Foundation
Concealer under eyes
Pressed powder
Bronzer
Blusher
Eyebrow pencil/gel
Mascara
Eyeliner

All done in 15 minutes, out of which vast majority is taken by drawing on decent eyebrows. Mine are grey and practically non existent so I fix them every bloody morning.

Occasionally I put lipstick on. Eyeshadow - only on special occasions. I love it but it just takes me too long to put it on and blend properly.

Floralmoral · 23/02/2019 20:24

Bubblysqueak I’ve just watched the routine you mentioned and it looks fab. Do you use the products shown in the video? And would you say the routine would work for someone with less than perfect skin?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 23/02/2019 20:45

Mine takes five minutes, then lipstick just before going out. Don’t bother with any of it if I am just at home.

Primer
Wee bit of foundation on cheeks, nose and forehead
Blusher
Powder
Highlighter
Nude eyeshadow
Eyeliner poked in between lashes
Mascara
Brow stuff
Red lipstick

GenderIsAPrison · 23/02/2019 20:51

Laneige BB cream cushion
Urban Decay eyeliner
Cream blush done with finger tips
Lipstick
And maybe black mascara

Takes about 3 minutes applied in the ladies as soon as I arrive at work.
Don’t feel I can face people without simple make up, I think I just look tired.

Jellykat · 23/02/2019 21:00

I never leave the house without -
Foundation
Powder
Blusher
Eyebrow pencil
Black kohl
Black eyeliner on upper lids
Mascara
Lip gloss
All takes a bit longer to apply the older i get!

CeeCeeMacFay · 23/02/2019 21:46

Every day I wear : moisturiser, primer, foundation, powder, blusher, eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil and lipstick. Takes me about 15-20 mins

Nenuco · 23/02/2019 22:56

Sunblock
Eyebrows - The Face Shop pencil and browcara to set

Leave.

HappyMama01 · 23/02/2019 23:20

After a full skincare routine of cleansing, toning, moisturising.. etc

Sunscreen
Primer
Eye primer
Eyeshadow
Foundation
Concealer
Setting powder
Contour
Highlight - cheek, top of brow, inner eye
Bronzer
Blusher
Brow pencil and gel
Eyeliner
Eyelash curler
Mascara
Lip scrub
Lip balm
Lip pencil
Lipstick
Lipgloss

Finished with a spritz of hydration spray and setting spray. Voila.

SerialChangerOfName · 23/02/2019 23:30

Mascara
Lipstick

If it's a really special occasion, like the Queen is coming to tea, eyeshadow.

Christmasfairy07 · 23/02/2019 23:34

Eyeshadow is one of the things I don’t use very often, although I have some Avon gel ones in lovely colours including emerald & teal.
Moisturiser as a base
Foundation
Concealer
Bronzer or cream blusher
Lipstick or tinted lip balm/lipgloss
Eyebrow pencil or gel
Eyeliner ( love my new Avon one with a correcting eraser)
Mascara
Also used to use touch eclat

Christmasfairy07 · 23/02/2019 23:36

How easy are eyelash curlers to use? Or can anyone recommend idiotproof falsies?

Pinkyyy · 24/02/2019 06:49

@Christmasfairy07 literally so easy! Always do them before mascara, never after. You just place them so your lashes are between them and give them a gentle squeeze closed, then apply uour mascara, that's all there is to them. Some people's lashes will hold the curl, others won't but definitely worth a try. Lashes just take practice, but always look for a thin band as they're much easier to apply than a big thick band.

Hellohappiness · 24/02/2019 07:05

The minimum even around the house is eyeshadow and mascara as my eyes are non-existent without any make up and I look ill.

To work I would add eyeliner on my top lashes and darken eyebrows. Lipstick in the car on the way.

I would only do the full works eg foundation if going to a big event eg wedding.

cookiemonster3 · 24/02/2019 07:08

SPF and primer if having bad skin day/long busy day
Foundation
2 concealers
2 powders (loose for under eyes pressed for rest of the face)
Eyebrows (benefit browzings and a brow gel)
Eyeshadow and liner if I feel like it. Otherwise use shadow as liner and buff out for smokey look.
Mascara
Bronzer
Blush
Highlight
Lip liner and liquid lipstick
Setting spray.

EvaHarknessRose · 24/02/2019 07:39

Foundation
Some sweeps of Highlighter
Bronzer
Blusher
Nude lipstick

Rarely anything else, sometimes just bb cream
