Winter Event -- Outfit help needed!!!

I am attending a Winter event and I bought this dress.

I'm thinking of wearing this mesh arm coverup with it. Is it too much if I wear tights? It will be cold.

Suggestions for shoes and accessories?

I think a long sleeved dress would look better, sorry if that's not helpful. Something like this maybe?

Assuming you're not the Duchess of Sussex, you will definitely need tights. I would wear sheer nude ones. I think the picture itself shows that big ole black shoes don't look right. I'd go for something metallic personally.

I'm not sure that coverup goes with the (very lovely) dress.

Can you give us a clue what sort of event it is? Is it a wedding? Party? As could make a difference.

The coverup will go under the dress so will o ly cover the arms.

How about a long sleeved dress but knee-length
Or above the knees?

I’m around a 14, 5’7, rectangle shape, and my legs are my best assets.

I agree, it'll look fine underneath and a contrasting metallic colour will look great for shoes

Actually I like silver more but I have a gold ear cuff I want to wear. :D It's a special ear cuff and it only comes in gold.
