Ok for wedding guest?

Wedding is early September. Would this outfit be ok/weddingy enough? Dress is ponte but light and quite swishy. Also would I need a jacket? I was hoping not as the top is quite is substantial - taxi to venue and home again. Appreciate any views thanks.

I absolutely love the shoes, but the dress is a bit ordinary in comparison I feel.

Yes nice outfit, but surely if you buy something now you will see loads of better/different outfits in the 7 months til the wedding?
I didn't even buy my wedding dress (I was the bride and did the traditional big dress thing) 7 months before!

The dress is fine. You won't know if you'll need a jacket until we have a better idea of the weather. September can be anything from glorious sunshine to chucking it down.

The dress is nice but I’d want to check the fabric. Silk and it’s good for a wedding. Polyester / viscose and it would be a work dress.

Hi thanks everyone, appreciate your responses. I really struggle with dresses and fell in love with this so I am certain I won’t see or look for anything else if I buy this. I was just a bit unsure if was weddingy enough but the concensus has reassured me! Thanks all!

If you love it and feel good it in then definitely get it, it is a perfect wedding guest outfit. much nicer than all those trashy bodycon dresses so many women wear to weddings

Update.... the shoes are no good. They are too nude/pale (as am I so they get a bit lost) and they also have a grey grosgrain ribbon running down the back of the heel which wasn’t visible on the website. Sooo...today I got these...! They are a lovely medium height so still very classy and the shade is perfect. I love them Grin
