Nottingham Hairdresser Recommendations

Not sure if this is the best board but I’m hoping some fellow Nottingham MMs can recommend a good hairdresser for me.

I recently tried out Sunderland and Barnett and it was okay, but for the cost nothing really special. Would prefer not to spend major £££ but will if the cut and colour is worth it. Looking for a hairdresser who offers advice on what will suit.

Any recommendations?

Try Ruby Rooms on Clarendon st 😀 she's fab and lovely! Been going to her for ages, she always listens to what I want and will give advice if I'm unsure. Not too expensive either, I pay £45 for a cut and blow dry.

I wasn't impressed with S and B either
I've heard that charlie bardwells is good: 5 Victoria St, Nottingham, NG1 2EW
Hairvens in Carlton and Beeston
DNA at king Street, Nottingham

I was very happy with joshuatree-salon.com in West Bridgeford but it was years ago. Was very good service and good value for money and I am extremely picky with hairdressers.

I used to go to Zullo and Holland but my stylist moved to West Bridgford in her own place and honestly in my 40 years on this earth she is the only hairdresser that has ever got it right for me! Her name is Shireen and the hair dressers is called Hair at Number 10. You will pay town prices but she is so worth it! 👍

Amy Lee at Dillon and Lee is amazing! In fact the other hairdressers there are great too. It's also very reasonably priced for a city centre salon.

Real in West Bridgford is fab.
The top knot salon on Trent bridge is good and has lots of stylists so you can find one you like. Talk to Brian the owner about what you need.

Thank you for your suggestions. I haven’t decided who to try out yet as I’d been hoping for some unanimous decisions on the best ever hairdresser in the area.

It sounds like West Bridgford might be the place to be for the most part though. I will check out some of the websites.

@nellyitsme Who is this infamous Charlie Bardwell? I saw him mentioned on an old MN thread (2013 I think) when I tried to google the question before asking here.

@GloryforGloves I went to Charlie Bardwells a few years ago. I had a few cuts then went to someone nearer to me. He's quite a character- and a good hairdresser! He's getting on a bit so you'd have ring to check he's still there.
