I had a brilliant independent boutique near me that was my absolute go to place for casual and work wear that sadly closed last year.
The stuff was modern and just a bit different without being weird and not at all expensive and I really miss it

I’m struggling with the high street.

I find a few things in Zara and used to do ok in topshop altho not recently but am categorically not a fan of warehouse, oasis, monsoon, ted baker, DP, Karen millen, hush, jigsaw, mint velvet etc.
I’m fact I can’t recall the last thing I bought from any of these.
French connection and whistles area bit more like it but seem overpriced really.

I don’t know what I don’t like about the shops I mentioned above as my style isn’t at all unusual or eclectic but I just find them so boring and probably a bit too ‘girlie’ sometimes.

I feel like I’ll never shop again!

I’ve seen the odd shop adverts used via Facebook that has piqued my interest but they are all US based so the whole shopping costs and returns hassle puts me off.

Anything on line you use that I might like? I know of ASOS and Very already.

I am not a pear shape or hourglass so can’t so the 50s dresses that I know there are on line shops for.

Im after more modern classic I guess.

The first place that came to mind was Cos and maybe Massimo Dutti?

Thanks for replies.

I have all those as actual shops near me.

I was looking at on line just to try and find smaller alternatives I hadn’t tried but that were UK not US based and people had maybe tried and tested?

Have you looked at Finery London and Uterque?

Whereareyouspot · 17/02/2019 23:51
