Have never tried retinol before - but turned 40 this year and am starting to see a few lines around the eyes so giving it a go!

Have bought the Indeed Labs Reface to try and would love some advice on how i should be using it..

Do i use with a night cream? Can i use after glycolic acid? Can i use around the eye area? Do i use it everyday?

Build up very slowly. Always use high factor UVA and UVB sunscreen during day when using. Apply retinol at night, can start over your moisturiser as getting your skin used to it. I would not use around eye area (unless formulated for eyes). Would not use at same time as any acid.

Dr Dray has some good info on retinol use on YouTube.

Always use it on its own - don't moisturise on top even if you feel really dry.

Have a look at Caroline Hirons on YouTube, she's recently done a retinol Q&A which is really helpful.

Retinol reface by indeed is fine on its own, i have used it and i loved it, i used to put a little moisture cream on top at night, but not in the morning, its one of the best retinol creams i have ever used
I must remember to buy some more

You don't have to use it on its own. You CAN use it with moisturiser, which dilutes or 'buffers' it. You can introduce it in this way. I never did - I just cracked straight on, giving it a miss for a couple of days if my skin went a bit too dry. Once you've built up some tolerance, you can use it on its own every night if you want.

Really helpful advice - thanks all. I'm going to try it every night without night cream and see how i go.

Thanks @Ponks & @Lumene - i'll check out those YouTube suggestions
