So what do you wear on a normal night out?

Ok I’ve not been on a normal night out in the pub since children - think 10 years. I live in jeans as a housewife so I want something different but I don’t want to feel overdressed. I’m going away to a caravan park and it will just be a couple of nights out but wearing what? Any ideas?

What are the nights out you have planned? If you’re talking a local village pub in a fairly rural area or something like that then personally I wouldn’t dress up at all- probably just whatever jeans I’d been wearing that day and a clean jumper! If you’re going to bars in town then that would warrant a bit more effort in my opinion.

I like to wear skinny black jeans with heeled ankle boots or other heels, a cami top & biker jacket on a night to a bar.

If it's more of a local pub I wear the jeans & ankle boots & biker jacket with eg a smart but pretty blouse for example.

I save dresses for really posh places.

Ps I'm 42 if it helps.

Skinny Jeans, ankle boots/DMs, either skinny jumper, or black lacy top. I love casual.

I’m going to a vaguely trendy bar tonight. I’ll be wearing black skinny jeans, boots very similar to Dr Martens, a silky t shirt with a space/galaxy type print, and leather biker jacket.

It depends where the caravan park is. PIL own one on a park with lots of Scousers, and the women get more dressed up for a night in the club house than I would for a night in a big city.

I've never been to a caravan park but I assume it's not the Ritz. So, your most fashionable jeans and a nice top, with appropriate outerwear for getting there and back, plus lipstick.

I wear exactly what TierraJ said upthread. I have a range of cami tops that are satin in bolder colours like deep green and deep red and I accessorise with sparkly necklaces (doing the layering thingy at the moment so three necklaces with a lariat type thing). I also wear more glittery make up so a bit of gold highlighter on inner eyes and cheeks with a deeper lipstick. I find it's the hair and make up that 'dresses me up' more than the clothes sometimes. Am mid 40s by the way.

Ok I’ll re dye my black jeans. I’ll have a look out for a couple of naice tops. Perhaps I’m from Liverpool without knowing it as I like to dress up for a night out!
